Hari Merdeka (Independence Day)
On August 31st every year, all Malaysians come together to celebrate the country's Independence Day (Hari Merdeka), also known as National Day (Hari Kebangsaan), to commemorate the proclamation of the country's independence on August 31st, 1957 from the British Empire. This day is marked by ceremonies and observances across Malaysia. MASC along with MIFNA looks forward to celebrate this special day together with the Malaysian community in Southern California.
